Participants will be presented with a framework to help recognize and differentiate endodontic pain conditions from orofacial pain disorder that may have overlapping signs and symptoms, emphasizing differential diagnosis. Appropriate initial management and referral strategies will also be discussed.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the pathophysiology, characteristics, and diagnostic criteria of orofacial pain disorders relevant to endodontic practice.
  • Conduct the clinical assessment of patients presenting with suspected orofacial pain disorders.
  • Formulate mangement and referral strategies for patients presenting with suspected orofacial pain disorders.
