Presentation Description/Abstract: Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) are cutting-edge technologies that enhance visualization and interaction in dentistry. They offer real-time feedback and guidance for various endodontic procedures. AR Foundation, a smartphone-compatible framework, simplifies the creation of AR experiences by providing tools like real-time tracking, surface detection, and object placement. Our presentation showcases the application of AR and MR in endodontics, demonstrating novel methods using devices such as head-mounted displays, surgical microscopes, and light detection and ranging. We'll explore the advantages and limitations of these techniques, including accuracy, precision, usability, and clinical relevance. Additionally, we'll share preliminary results from in vitro studies evaluating the feasibility and effectiveness of these methods for endodontic treatment. We hope to inspire further research and innovation in the field of AR and MR-assisted endodontics.
