(TC45) Different Applications of Guided Endodontics

Abstract: In the field of endodontics, the introduction of guided techniques has sparked a significant revolution in both surgical and non-surgical procedures. These techniques leverage computer-aided planning as a more personalized tool for approaching more complicated cases, leading to improved outcomes. In this presentation, we will explore recent innovations in guided access, with a specific focus on its application in calcified root canal therapies and apicoectomy surgeries. This integration of guided techniques offers numerous advantages, including enhanced patient experience, higher success rates, and valuable opportunities for skill development among endodontists. During this table clinic, we will showcase two clinical cases of guided endodontics: one involving a guided approach to accessing a calcified root canal and another featuring the use of a 3D printed guide for a more conservative approach to apical surgery. These cases exemplify the transformative potential of guided techniques in endodontics. In conclusion, the utilization of a guided approach to surgical and non-surgical endodontics represents a dynamic and evolving field.
