Dr. Rohan Jagtap is the Director of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Care Planning and Restorative Sciences at the School of Dentistry, with a dual appointment in the Department of Radiology at the School of Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Jagtap has authored or co-authored numerous articles published in peer-reviewed journals and has delivered scientific presentations at both national and international forums. He has made significant contributions to the field of Artificial Intelligence and has published numerous articles. He has also served on FDA panels for multiple AI companies. Additionally, he serves as an editor for the book titled 'Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry,' published by Springer, which will be available in January 2024. Dr. Jagtap currently serves as the Chair of the American Dental Education Association Radiology Section and as the Vice-President of the International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research. In 2024, he will assume the role of President-elect, followed by President in 2025. Dr. Jagtap currently serves as the only Oral & Maxillofacial Radiologist at UMMC and within the state of Mississippi.
The AAE is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider, a recognized provider in California (#2030), Florida (#PP0049). Programs of the AAE (#214682) are accepted by AGD for Fellowship/Mastership credit. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The AAE designates this activity for up to 29.5 continuing education credits.
