Glen Karunanayake trained in dentistry at Guy’s Hospital Dental School, University of London, graduating in 1993. He worked as a general dentist for 10 years and then undertook Master’s training in endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London and obtained a Master's degree in endodontics with distinction from the University of London. From 2004 until 2018, he worked as an endodontist in private practice whilst maintaining teaching positions at King’s College, London and the Eastman Dental Institute. In 2018, he took up an Associate Professor position in endodontics at the University of North Carolina, and relocated to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. His working week includes supervising endodontic residents - undergoing specialist training, teaching dental students and treating patients with endodontic related problems. Glen is an UK General Dental Council registered specialist in endodontics. He has a special interest in treating anxious patients and managing cracked teeth.
