Dr. Takashi Komabayashi is an Olmsted Family Distinguished Professor and Graduate Endodontic Program Director at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He received a D.D.S. from the University of Hiroshima in 1998, a Ph.D. in dental material from the Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 2002 (“The Study of New Root Canal Filling Materials With Adhesiveness to Dentin”), a D.D.S. from the University of California at San Francisco in 2005, and his Certificate in Endodontics and M.Dent.Sc. from the University of Connecticut in 2008. He also holds a Master of Science in Clinical Science from the University of Texas Southwestern supported by National Institutes of Health KL2 Award in 2011. He was a recipient of the AAE Foundation’s Endodontic Educator Fellowship Award and Henry M. Thornton/Student Clinicians of the American Dental Association Fellowship Award. He lists 70 abstracts and presentations, along with 69 publications. He is also a dental officer in the U.S. Army Dental Corps (Reserve).
The AAE is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider, a recognized provider in California (#2030), Florida (#PP0049). Programs of the AAE (#214682) are accepted by AGD for Fellowship/Mastership credit. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The AAE designates this activity for up to 29.5 continuing education credits.
