Dental pain can be incapacitating, and non-opioid alternatives to current regimens are warranted. This session will discuss Cannabidiol (CBD), a primary cannabinoid, as a dental analgesic. We will present data from the first randomized clinical trial on the effectiveness and safety of CBD for patients presenting with emergency dental pain. We will further elaborate on potential mechanisms of action based on our preclinical models.
