Miriam Fatima Zaccaro Scelza completed her PhD in Dentistry (Endodontics) [Sp-Capital] from the University of São Paulo in 1998. She is currently a full professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at the Universidade Federal Fluminense. She published 49 articles in specialized journals and 37 works in event annals. It has 55 technical production items. She participated in 5 events abroad and 46 in Brazil. She supervised 4 master's theses, in addition to having supervised 11 scientific initiation works in the areas of Dentistry, Pharmacy and Chemistry. She has received 5 awards and/or honors. She works in the field of Dentistry, with an emphasis on Endodontics and Geriatric Dentistry. She currently coordinates the Specialization course in Geriatric Dentistry at FOUFF. She works as coordinator and responsible researcher at the Experimental Cell Culture Laboratory (LECCel) at FOUFF. She was an associate visiting professor at the Faculty of Dentistry - University British Columbia (UBC) and a Capes Fellow from May 1, 2007 to August 31, 2007 (process no.2993-06-6) to carry out a post-doctoral internship at UBC.
