He has a Master's and Doctorate in Neuroimmunology from UFF. He is a professor and advisor for Master's and Doctorate courses at the Postgraduate Program in Sciences and Biotechnology (PPBI) at UFF, and at the Postgraduate Program in Biotechnology (PPGBiotec) at INMETRO. He works at CAPES as a Member of Advisory Committees for analysis of APCN M/D and Professional, Quadrennial Assessment, and Support Program for Events in the Country (PAEP). He has ongoing and completed projects as coordinator with funding attraction from FAPERJ (ADT-1, APQ-1, Emergentes, Jovem Cientista do Nosso Estado-JCNE, and Thematic). He has H Factor = 18 SCOPUS (June/2022). He works as a reviewer for international journals and has experience in the areas of Neuroimmunology, Immunology, Bioengineering, Pharmacology and Nanotechnology applied to Regenerative Medicine. He develops projects on the themes: Inflammation and Neuroinflammation, Pharmacological Nanocarriers, Tissue Bioengineering and Biocompatible Materials with an emphasis on CNS, Parasitology, Anti-inflammatory Cholinergic Mechanisms and Tissue Remodeling.
