Resident
Harvard School of Dental Medicine
Dr Sam Yun graduated from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) for dental school and is expected to finish his endodontic residency training at the Harvard school of dental Medicine in 2024. During dental school, his passions always lied in endodontics where he was mostly involved in teaching and research. He served as T.A. for the simulation labs in endodontics and a research fellow where he evaluated UCSF’s endodontics curriculum to enhance students’ transition into clinic. His research also involved using Multispectral Near-Infrared Reflectance and Transillumination to better image the floor of the pulp chamber. Prior to endodontic residency, he worked as a general dentist in Southern California where he provided care for the community in the Greater Los Angeles County. During endodontic residency, he veered towards clinical research where his project involved studying changes in biomarkers in gingival crevicular fluid and periapical fluid following cleaning and shaping for apical periodontitis. In his free time, he is very into fitness and loves to golf and play basketball.
