Catalina Mendez, D.D.S., M.S.

Associate Professor and Associate Program Director
Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine

I was born in Bogota, Colombia, and obtained my dental degree from Colegio Odontologico Colombiano. After that, I specialized in endodontics from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota-Colombia. With over 22 years of academic experience, I’ve served as a faculty member at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. For six years, I was the Director of Endodontics for the postgraduate program, and as a member of the Centro de Investigaciones Odontologicas (CIO) of the same university, I conducted research. Apart from that, I have 30 years of experience in private practice as an endodontist in Bogota, Colombia. Since 2001, I have been an opinion leader for Dentsply Sirona. I was also the President of the Bogota Endodontist Association (AEB) from 2019-2023. Furthermore, I am an active member of the Colombian Endodontic Society and Latin American Endodontic Society (SELA), currently serving as an Associate Professor and Associate Program Director of the Post Graduate Endodontic program at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Davie, Florida
