Dr. Reinhart joined VCU’s Department of General Practice November 2021, and was appointed as a General Practice Group Leader May 2022 where he is currently honorably serving. Dr. Reinhart's civilian dental career began while attending his first residency program; he designed, financed, and opened a successful solo practice for five years. Fond memories as a military dental assistant led him to reconsider practicing dentistry serving as a military dentist. Dr. Reinhart sold his practice and transitioned to serve as an Air Force dentist. During this period, he provided care, and led airmen to include completing a second residency program. Dr. Reinhart’s last three assignments providing care, supporting leadership and leading were Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, Falls Church Virginia Defense Health Agency, and US Army Pentagon Washington DC culminating more than 31 years upon retiring September 2021. At the Pentagon, Dr. Reinhart provided care to the assigned general officers and their enlisted equivalents providing efficient, timely, comprehensive dental care. Dr. Reinhart offers clinical and leadership experience, passion for the “Best” in our profession and is honored to educate and guide our future gifted young dental professionals. Dr. Reinhart maintains his dental credentials supporting the VCU Faculty Practice clinic.
