Dr. Ana Andrada was born and raised in Brazil where she earned her first dental degree from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil (UFSC) in 1999. She practiced as a general dentist before pursuing a career in Endodontics, receiving a certificate in 2005. Dr. Andrada then worked in private practice as an Endodontist, while dedicating time to a community health center and giving back to her institution as a pre-doctoral instructor.
Dr. Andrada continued her education at Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) graduating with a certificate in Endodontics in 2015 and a Doctor of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology in 2016.
In 2018, Dr. Andrada finished the Accelerated Dental Program at University of Detroit Mercy earning a U.S. Doctor of Dental Surgery degree as was appointed as a full-time Endodontic professor teaching pre-doctoral students and Endodontic residents. She has achieved the status of Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 2019 and has published several papers in peer review journals.
Dr. Andrada joined the VCU endodontic department on a full-time basis in July 2021 as an associate professor. When she is not working, Dr. Andrada enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.
