Presentation Description/Abstract: The concept of coaching as a leadership style has become a mainstream concept within the corporate and coaching communities in recent years. Many of the Fortune 500 companies now recognize the numerous benefits of having leaders that are able to effectively coach their direct reports. Small organizations, like clinical endodontic practices, are the perfect environment for coaching as a leadership style. Among the many benefits of this leadership style are increased staff satisfaction, retention, and engagement. Other significant benefits include rapid development of human capital, increased productivity and efficiency, a healthier bottom line, and improved work/life balance.
This presentation will delve into the why and how of coaching as a leadership style. Attendees will learn new communication skills and team building techniques based on current research in the fields of psychology and neuroscience. They will learn how to utilize simple, but extremely effective, coaching techniques to create sustainable peak performance and a growth mindset within their practices, and attendees will leave with a better understanding of this new leadership style.
