Abstract: Fiber posts present a unique challenge to clinicians during removal due to their bond to tooth structure. The inherent difficulty can result in excessive tooth structure removal, an elevated risk of perforation, extended treatment times, and the potential for microcrack formation, especially when using ultrasonic (US) tips. This study aims to investigate various techniques for the efficient and conservative removal of fiber posts, specifically the efficiency of free-hand techniques compared to guided techniques. By addressing the challenges associated with fiber post removal, our study endeavors to contribute valuable insights into enhancing the clinical approach to this common dental procedure.
